With the demolition of the existing service area, Kendall Ford upgraded to a modern facility that includes fifty-nine service bays, six quick lube bays, and five customer service lanes.
After the project’s first phase was well under construction MAE assisted with foundation and component design for the service center. Later, we were contracted for the full structural design and associated seismic retrofitting for the 15,000 sf showroom.
This remodel involved removing multiple bearing walls to open the showroom floor. Additionally, the seismic retrofit involved Fiber Reinforced Polymer wraps (FRP) to strengthen and preserve the existing concrete systems. We were able to provide engineering services that was economical and timely to help the construction team get back to their desired schedule.
